2021 Exam Writing Workshop I

Closes Thursday 3rd December!

Would you like to contribute to writing the JTAN 2021 Preliminary and Trial Exam papers for Beginners and Continuers? 

Members will be allocated a section and/or question from the mapping grid (provided) to develop in small groups and benefit from the opportunity to participate in peer discussion and review of what makes a suitable exam-style question for end of course examinations. 

If you are unable to attend the workshop but wish to contribute some original assessment tasks, please apply online and send the tasks to enquire@jtan.org.au prior to the workshop. Participants in Workshop I may be invited to participate in subsequent workshops (II & III) to finalise the development of the examinations.

Required equipment: Please bring a laptop and charger

9:00 – 9:20 Registration
9:20 – 9:30 Opening, Group organisation
9:30 – 10:30 Presentation – Requirements and appropriateness for Stage 6 Exams
10:30 – 11:00 Morning tea (provided)
11:00 – 12:30 Workshop – Writing allocated exam question(s) in groups
12:30 – 13:15 Lunch (provided)
13:15 – 15:15 Workshop – Writing allocated exam question(s) in groups
(please allocate 30 minutes for afternoon tea [provided] when it suits your group)
15:15 – 15:30 Evaluation and Closing

Note: This workshop aims to create 2021 JTAN Exams together and therefore the following conditions apply:

  1. Attending the workshop or contributing exam tasks digitally means that you have agreed that:
    • your final product/s remains the property of JTAN.
    • you will not use the tasks externally (e.g. in your classroom prior to 2021 Preliminary Yearly exam or Trial HSC Exam)
    • you do not inform others (even other participants) about the details of what your team has created.
  2. Please be aware that the task/s you submit may be changed in the final version without any notification.
