JTAN is pleased to be able to offer an online version of our popular Extension Speaking Day in 2023. This event will differ slightly in timing and operation this year due to the use of the Zoom teleconferencing platform and so it is important for you to carefully read the information below when registering.
**This event is for STUDENTS to register directly with JTAN. If you have paid your school then your TEACHER will register on your behalf**
Event Information
You will be given a selection of HSC style monologue questions relating to the current prescribed themes and you will have the opportunity to do four (4) sets of HSC style monologue practice of those questions in the following format
ALL students will attend a one hour presentation on WEDNESDAY 16th August from 4-5pm, presented by Yuko Lawson (Hornsby Girls HS)
You will then be allocated to ONE 75 minute monologue session beginning at either 9am, 10.15am, 11.30am, or 1.30pm. It is not possible to give you a choice of session so you need to make sure you are able to join any one of these – one week prior to the event you will be advised of your allocated session one and provided with the link to access. If the workshop becomes full and additional capacity is possible, students who register later will be allocated to any additional sessions (e.g. from 1:30-2:30).
Zoom Pilot Testing for Participating Students: You are encouraged to conduct a pilot Zoom conference with your teacher and peers to ensure that all equipment, including your microphone and camera work.
On the day: You need to login no later than 10 minutes before your allocated session. You must make sure that your login name and email match the details given during registration or you will not be admitted to the main sessions.
