Afternoon PL – Using Games to Engage Learners in the Japanese Classroom

This afternoon workshop will provide participants with a range of communicative and interactive games to engage learners in the Japanese classroom.

A variety of games will be introduced, focusing on the four macro-skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. To assist time-poor teachers, several of the games presented require minimal or no preparation.

After the workshop, participants will be provided with a range of resources as well as editable game templates they can adapt for use in their school context.

Teachers will also have an opportunity to collaborate and share strategies they use in their practice. The workshop is suitable for both experienced and beginning teachers.
